Lockdown Extension, Upcoming Fun Friday Dear Families, With updated requirements for work permits and the further extension of lockdown, we are continuing to provide direct on-site supervision for up to 43 students throughout the week, employing CRTs, Education Support Staff and our Specialist teachers. This allows our classroom teachers the ability to provide our in-depth remote learning program with feedback to students. We appreciate as the lockdown has been extended another two weeks, this can increase anxiety for some students and parents. Please promote both daily opportunities to engage via WebEx with the classroom teacher and enjoy the Specialist Day provided on Wednesday to break up the remote learning routine. To help maintain and further support student wellbeing, Friday the 27th August will be a Fun Friday. Teachers will begin the day with their usual WebEx and a regular learning activity, but most of the day will focus on some fun activities to break up the routine of remote learning. Teachers will ensure the activities won’t require additional resources and students will be asked to share a photo of their favourite activity with their teacher. Further details to come via a Compass newsfeed. Thank you in advance for your ongoing support. Student Leadership – House Names I worked closely with student leaders to develop a Google Survey so all students and teachers can provide feedback to select the house names and mascots. https://forms.gle/H7Qd6VsvudnY1MYc8 If your child hasn’t provided any feedback, please use the link above to choose from the proposed student ideas. Later this week, students will look at the survey results to inform their selection of names and mascots. Thanks again to student leaders for their ongoing support. Kind regards, Michael Gill Acting Principal SPECIALIST

Learning in 4P this week – Here is a photo of one of our ‘small group activities’ for maths where we had some fun learning about factors and multiples. We also played the ‘Factors and Multiples Game’ on the Nrich website as a warm-up! 4P are a bunch of home learning superstars! School Contacts
