Oak Park Primary School Transition to School Program
At Oak Park Primary School we run a comprehesive transition programaimed at making your child's pathway from pre-school to school a successful experience.
Our program begins in Term 3 where we run a session aimed at providing pre-school students with the chance to experience the specialist programs Oak Park Primary School offers; Art, Japanese and Physical Education (Sport). This session is used to help you and your child become familiar with the school and is an opportunity to see what takes place during specialist classes.
In Term 4 we run 3 transition sessions. During these sessions you child will be involved in various literacy and numeracy activites and will become familiar with the Foundation classrooms and shared learning area. It also provides a wonderful opportunity for the children to get to know the Foundation teachers and each other.
While your child is busy in the classoom, you are invited to attend our Parent Information Sessions. These sessions are a great way to access all the information you will need to know about startying school and the edcation of your child at Oak Park Primary School.
