Learning an instrument is not only an incredibly fun and engaging hobby but has many additional benefits including; increased memory capacity, improved hand-eye coordination, better social & communication skills and the development of stronger self confidence. If you want to nurture your child’s creative side and give them a medium for self expression consider supplementing their education with a school music program!
Oak Park Students are invited to participate in the Instrumental Music Program offered by Melbourne Guitar & Vocal Academy. The program currently offers the following instrument/s: Guitar, Singing, Keyboard & Drums.
During the course of the year students will have the opportunity to participate in classroom ensembles and performances. A band Workshop program will also be offered in Semester 2 providing students an opportunity to put their hard work into a stronger musical context - Band Workshop is by Audition / Invitation Only - all students are invited to apply (even those having lessons outside of school).
How It Works:
Each week students will come out of class for a 30m group lesson.
Lessons operate on a rotating timetable so students don’t miss the same classes each week.
Students will learn all of the fundamental skills necessary to play their instrument and perform songs.
*Lessons are also available outside of school at our studio in Essendon for parents who would prefer not to disrupt their childs learning schedule.
