Creating 21st Century Learners
At Oak Park Primary School, we view the importance of creativity just as important as requiring the necessary skills for literacy and mathematics. Living in a rapidly changing world, the students of today will be faced with going to into a workforce with jobs that do not even exist today. With this in mind, it is critical that we develop the necessary 21st century skills our students need to cope with the changes that lay ahead for them in the future. |

Inquiry
Inquiry mirrors the 21st century workplace. Students in all year levels work in collaborative groups and use technology to tackle real-world issues in the context of their school, family or local community. For teachers, the task is to work with students to take multidisciplinary standards-based content (The Australian Curriculum), connect it to what is happening in the world today, and translate it into an experience in which students make a difference in their community.
