A Fantastic Athletics Day at Meadow Glen Our recent Athletics Day at Meadow Glen Athletics Track was a resounding success - filled with high energy, fantastic sportsmanship, and brilliant community spirit. Hosting the event at a new venue brought exciting new opportunities, and our students embraced the professional track and field facilities with enthusiasm. A special thank you goes to Liam and Sally for their hard work in planning and coordinating the day, as well as our dedicated school staff and parent volunteers. Your time, energy, and support behind the scenes and on the track made the event run smoothly. Congratulations to Red House for their victory on the day! Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a wonderful celebration of sport and community. Michael Gill Principal WHAT'S HAPPENING @ OAK PARK

Dress Rehearsal Excursion There will be a full dress rehearsal during school time on the first day of the school concert, Tuesday 15th September. All grades will catch a bus to the Clocktower Theatre and rehearse in full costume on the stage. It is crucial that all students attend this full dress rehearsal which will help the production run smoothly. All students to be picked up from school at 3:30pm as usual. Concert DVD/USB Available to purchase We strongly recommend families order a DVD of the concert. Students LOVE to watch the show over and over with family and friends. It’s a wonderful keepsake and also great to have a copy of the show for family members who can’t attend concert nights. There is also the bonus of the staff video on the DVD which is always popular with the students- hilarious! DVD/USB orders will be given to all families on Tuesday 1st September. Concert Merch! We have the help of our talented parent and t-shirt printing extraordinaire Phil Callaghan to help us create some Shrek merch for students and families. Please watch out for our Compass note with details on how to order! This merch is not just for students, we would love a sea of green in the audience on the night to support our school! Parents and carers are warmly invited to come along and join us for the celebration. This year’s CBCA Book Week theme is Symphony of Stories. Students are encouraged to come dressed as a favourite book character and bring along a book that matches their character. A reminder that 5/6A, 5/6R, 5/6D and 1G can wear their Book Week costumes to the concert so have fun making them bright and sparkly! Kaboom Sports - Foundation - Grade 2
On Monday, our Foundation to Grade 2 students had an action-packed morning participating in Kaboom Sports! Despite the wet and drizzly weather, the vibes were high and the music was pumping! Students enjoyed throwing, catching, kicking, balancing and even some circus training. Our senior students also did a fantastic job taking on leadership roles, guiding and supporting the younger students throughout the activities. A big shoutout to all the staff who were supervising and ensuring the students had a wonderful time. MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
Australian Maths Competition
Competition Week 4, Term 3 Last week, students in Grades 3 - 6 who signed up for the Australian Mathematics Competition completed the one-hour challenge. It was wonderful to hear positive feedback from students, with many saying they enjoyed the challenge and are already keen to compete again next year! Once results are released, all students who participated will be presented with a certificate at assembly. We will also recognise our special award recipients, as well as the student who achieved the ‘Best in School’ result. We anticipate results will be available by early Term 4. A big thank you to Kate Ducie, Dave Lu and Amy Devlin for organising the competition and providing our students with this extension opportunity. SENIOR SCHOOL NEWS
