Oak Park Primary School Art Show
Our whole school Art Show is fast approaching, and the excitement is building across the school. Students from all year levels have been working hard in Art lessons, preparing creative masterpieces depicting this beautiful country we live in.
This will be our first Art Show for many years, and we are thrilled to make it a true celebration of creativity, community, and connection. The Art Show is a fundraising event, so it will be a ticketed evening for adults that attend. We are hoping to raise funds to assist with upgrading the school’s playgrounds. Families are warmly invited to join us on: When: Thursday October 23rd – 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Where: Oak Park Primary School Gymnasium The evening will showcase student artwork, but also be plenty of fun for the whole family, including:
Silent Auction Highlight We are honoured to announce that world-famous Australian artist Ken Done has generously donated two signed artworks to help fundraise for our school. These incredible pieces will be on display during the Art Show, and the highest bidders in the Silent Auction will take them home. Sheryl Hamilton has also designed and created a beautiful Aboriginal themed quilt, seen below.
Tickets
Tickets will go on sale on the first day of next term – Monday 6th October.
All friends and extended family are welcome – the more, the merrier to help raise funds for upgrading the school playgrounds! Full details will also be available in our weekly newsletter and on the school billboard QR codes. We can’t wait to see you there! Kind regards, Michael Gill Principal Assembly Timetable
R U OK Day
🟡 R U OK? Day – Thursday 11 September 2025 🟡 Theme: "Ask R U OK? Any Day" R U OK? Day is a national day of action that reminds us all to check in with those around us — not just today, but any day someone might be struggling. This year’s message, “Ask R U OK? You don’t need to be an expert — just a good friend and a great listener. How you can take part:

EARLY YEARS NEWS
Grade 2
Over the last week, students in grade 2 have been creating health message posters to encourage students to look after their bodies and minds! Students have loved thinking of fun slogans, created mascots and painting their posters that will be displayed around the school! MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
Grade 3/4
Middle School News: Non-Fiction Writing On Friday 5th September 2025, in Session 4, students across the 3/4 cohort shared their Non-Fiction published work with each other. 3/4M was divided into four groups where they went to one of the four classrooms and students shared within portables. It was great to see students keen to share their work, especially as there was a digital component to the final task, so many carried iPads and read from their screens. Students also had soft copies of their writing and shared their work with hand-drawn illustrations. Here are some photos from the session. COMMUNITY NEWS
